Heads up if you like the older 5300, the 5300-2 adds the light sensor, so while the 5300 could be run on auto mode even at night, the 5300-2 will stay in low mode until it is exposed to light. Not ideal for auto cleaning of bedrooms or theater rooms, and you CAN NOT turn the light sensor off...

Ya I saw a ton on eBay and Amazon, just need to find ones that aren't crappy Chinese made, which there are some out there

I bought three of the 5300s from BBB for $80 each last year. I will be needed new filters soon. I am using box fan filters in the rest of house...

My basement smells like a dead mouse for weeks now. Drives me crazy. Would this thing help get rid of the smell?

I guess I don't totally follow. It can't do auto unless the lights are on?

I have a Winix U450 that has the 5-stage filter and have been pretty happy with its performance during allergy season, a lot less sneezing and teary eyes.
