WHAT???? If you play the game at all, you would easily hit level 25. You can play placement matches anytime, not just 3 days. Your rank pretty much transfers over from one season to the next. There's other arcade modes besides just comp matches. If you have no healer, MAYBE YOU SHOULD BE THE HEALER. You seem to be the mentally challenged teammate. Once you get platinum ranked or higher is when you play with mostly good people so I can tell you obviously are like bronze or silver and deserve to stay there.

I saw this game when it originally came out and didn't think I would be able to adapt to it. It seemed too fast paced and too much was going on. I played during the last free weekend and I WAS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. I picked the game up anyway as it was pretty cheap at the time and have since figured things out. I highly recommend playing around in the tutorial modes and trying out all the heroes to get used to things if you are seriously considering playing the game. You should learn how the game modes and heroes work if you want to have any chance of winning. If not, you will spend a lot of time dying and then walking back from spawn to the action just to die again (happened to me a lot during free weekend). I am now actually pretty decent at this game.

To address some of the points made above:

1. Quick play is a crap shoot. I have played awesome rounds with decent players and I have played completely horrendous rounds with people who had no clue what was going on and didn't seem to care. There is no real team composition and you will sometimes not have a single healer. Almost no one uses the mic which I don't understand. I came from TF2 where people never stfu! It just seems like people run around not giving a crap about actually playing the game. They should really make a learning quick play where you just do your own thing with other real players, and an actual team play which isn't competitive but people actually will try to work as a team.

2. Competitive mode is very frustrating and unbalanced. As I mentioned above, I'm a pretty decent player now but I don't think I'm ranked correctly. Your ranking is largely dependent on the team you get. You can completely shred the other team solo but if your team gets rolled, you still lose ranking points. I went like 6 games in a row yesterday without a win and my ranking took a beating. The teams were disorganized, people didn't want to heal, and did not have a good composition. I had like 40 kills, was top on my team, but we lost so I still lost points. As for support players, I play Mercy a lot (healer). Sometimes I don't want to think much, I'm good with her, and I do it because a lot of times others don't want to heal and if forced to, they are not very good at it hurting the team. The problem with this is, you can be the best Mercy out there, but if your team can't kill the other team even when you are healing them, you are going to get rolled. When this happens, your ranking again takes a beating. Another issue is with people dropping mid game. If that happens after 2 mins, you will play with a man down and if (when) you lose, you will still lose points even though it was not your fault. Something needs to be done about that. So competitive is actually either REALLY fun with good intense battles when both sides are evenly matched and work as a team, or REALLY frustrating and annoying when your team plays like monkeys farking a football and you lose points because of them. Competitive seems to really be made for groups of people who all know each other and play together. For solo players, the problems above are too often unfortunately.

Overall, I paid like $18 for the game and am still having fun with it. I think it is worth giving a shot but just keep in mind that it might take some time to pick up. Jumping in without learning the game dynamics and characters is a quick path to getting destroyed and frustrated.

Problem is that Quickplay isn't even overwatch, so unless you're going to hit level 25, play 10 placements in less than 3 days then its a waste of time. Have fun playing with 5 mentally challenged teammates and no healer

I can't say what exactly possessed me to pick this game up two weeks ago, about a year and a half into its life cycle, but I've been having a lot of fun with it. Quickplay and Arcade modes may not net you the best team mates but there's a lot less toxic chatter going on. It's a pretty fun game when people aren't throwing tantrums or screaming Smash Mouth aggressively into the mic.

Damn good game, very addictive once you start getting good at it. Pretty big learning curve due to crazy amount of different abilities, but satisfying when you master multiple ones.

Been loving Overwatch for a while now.

Although I wish Blizzard would release all modes at all times of the year, not just 1 month every few months or so...

Example, the Uprising event where you play a wave-based mode against bots, was fun while it lasted. But now it won't be back for a long time apparently...

BUT they can keep the boxes out of the drop pool, if that's what they're so worried about, that we'll get the skins we need without paying or off-season...

They need to adopt a different mode release ideal than what League of Legends does... Considering we paid for Overwatch vs free League of Legends...

Again, this is just a "I wish they..." sort of thing, not a gripe/whine about anything, the game is great Wink
