Vizio M70-D3 $1198.97 at Costco In-Store/YMMV

Local Costco has the M70-D3 at $1198.97, with at least 4 in box in stock at Lynnwood, WA club.

M70-D3 (2016 version with Android tablet remote) is a tuner free 4k display that supports both HDR10 and Dolby Vision. The biggest knock it seems to get among reviews I've read is that the peak brightness is low. Still, it generally receives high marks for picture quality.

The E70-E3 (2017 model, one series below M) was next to it for $2 more.

Well, as this is my first deal post, I'm failing hard. Every time I try to attach an image, nothing happens, neither through drag-and-drop nor the "attach a file" link. So unless someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong, you'll just have to take my word for it. The image is only 127KB so it cannot be file size...

Whats the difference between this the E3 version?

I think I've the E3 discounted some months ago. Only thing at my local Costco, they have this next to a Samsung 75" and the Samsung look tons better than this Vizio.

Only m series and especially p series are worth getting from Vizio

Everything else is crap

Yes. E series is the economy series. M series is next step up, likely has local dimming and HDR. Maybe some additional features.

Adding image in replies since I can't add one in the OP edit.

Have the same deal at my loal costco. Cant decide if I should buy this or the 2017 m series. Mostly gearing up for Xbox one x. Heard the pic is great but hdr is somewhat lacking. Any ideas, seems like a great deal.

This has a 120hz refresh rate, vs the 60 on the 2017 models. Everything else seems to be identical.

Also worth noting the 70" has 64 FALD zones vs 32 on the 65 I believe

I would say the 120hz panel would be better for gaming (2016 120hz vs 2017 60hz)

Bought it last week, amazing 4k and 1080p picture. Gaming great with or without low latency on. Netflix hdr looks like ass, too dark. Satisfied so far, will keep it if my Scorpio performs well with it.

Do you have cable? How is the picture? My 2017 M70 has a disappointing picture with Xfinity.
