Bought one brand new for $70 from HSN. Solid device and love the optical out. I feel the image quality was slightly better then the premier even though they are both 4K

If I only do 1080p, would you notice difference from the 3. The 3 still works fine for me. Have a 4K TV

What shortcut buttons are on the remote? The picture of the remote is different on Newegg and Amazon. Can these be re-programmed?

Nope and that's one of the reasons why I moved from Roku to Firetv. I kept hitting the dang shortcut buttons when trying to pause. At least now they ask you if you want to fly out of the show you're watching to a service you don't even subscribe to. I have two remotes for Rdio and they're dead.

In other news, these have a serious problems with some tv sets, in particular my 2 year old samsung 4k tv. They report a "resolution change" when waking from sleep and that prevents the roku from turning the tv on and changing hdmi ports. You have to use the tv remote to turn it on, change inputs, then you can clear the message. Roku wasted two weeks of my time acting like I was the only one with this problem until I pointed them to threads on their own support forum. Eventually after I returned the ultras they graciously offered to replace them.

Yeah, sorry about that. Forgot CA residents get hit with tax from Newegg. Fry's and Amazon hit us in TX but Newegg is still tax free...for now.

Sounds like if someone is using a Harmony remote to control everything, this wouldn't be an issue?
