I just purchased the last instant pot on SD for 79.99. What's the benefit of this one other than having the ability to program from your phone?

79.99 for no Bluetooth and 129.99 for Bluetooth.. $50 difference to be lazy to program from your phone. Yep. Pass.

This is what I thought when I got my bluetooth sous vide thing. "Why the hell does everything need an app and bluetooth these days". But then I realized how helpful it is when you have a machine with sealed ingredients while cooking and you need to use a chart to look up times for everything you cook in it. Saves sooo much time to just tell an app what you're doing rather than look up a table or chart in a book.

Still doesn't justify $50. Manual just fine for me

Ha, well I agree, which is why I'm not upgrading the Instant Pot I have with this deal. The Anova sous vide function just made me realize bluetooth is more useful a gimmick than I had first thought after I had initially dismissed it.

What app are you using? Joule?

With the Bluetooth, you can use the app to create recipes/programs that store and can be sent to pot for a meal. You can download programs from other cooks/websites. When using multitask processes for a meal, that programming could be worth the 50.00 for those who use it a lot. Sous vide is a simple process to control with the bluetooth.

Personal choice in the end.

The Instant Pot app, probably. I have it on my phone pending purchase of pot.

I was referring to the capabilities in my Anova Sous Vide, which uses the Anova app. I don't have a bluetooth capable Instant Pot yet.
