I don't know if it will auto-update up to Windows 10, but I notice that HP driver support for this laptop only goes up to Windows 8.1 (64-bit).

If you have a need for "assistive technologies," I think the handicapped loophole is still open and doesn't require verification of any form. YEMV: Your Ethics May Vary, haha.

The free Windows 10 upgrade "officially" ended, but in my experience in two or three cases, it still installs fine using Windows 7 keys. The also offer an official loophole to upgrade to Windows 10 from 7+ if using assistive technologies.

Lol this is a 2nd gen i5 battery life would be terrible and this thing will be crawling slow, you can do a lot better with $200 at least buy an usable laptop. I picked up a Dell latitude e5440 with 4 gen i5, 8gb ram, backlit keyboard, 1600*900 res for $240 from 5 miles, using it for 6 months and have upgraded ram to 16 gb and put a 256gb ssd. The thing flies, also picked up a $25 Dell docking station from Craigslist and 2 $20 monitors from Goodwill. And now I have a decent workstation for less than $500.

Seems legit for the price if you surf the web and work with word or other basic apps

This is great for the price. The specs obviously aren't top end but if you just need something to surf the internet this would be great. Also if it's too clunky for Windows you could put Chromium on it and it'd run just fine.

Is it the good price for a Chromebook? The hard drive needs to be replaced to an SSD.
