Lots of recent reviews noting it was missing pieces (only 5 of 15 stations) and potentially being a lower quality material board.

I just canceled my order but for those that stick it out - double check your game on receipt.

Game is a lot of fun and requires strategy to win. More of an young adult/adult game than a kids game to be honest.

It is a great game. I suggest it if you enjoy games like Catan.

probably because the company who makes the game worked out something with SD to get their game on the fp. Reviews are decent but does anyone have This? Is it worth playing with a group of friends and no kids?

We have the US map one. From what I remember, the Europe one is 'less fun' bc of the tunnels.

I have it, and it's a great game.

I was initially dubious, but it's rather fun to play even if you have no interest in trains whatsoever. It's a great casual game for when you want to take it easy, or intro game for those new to boardgames, or for playing with your kids. But unlike many other games that fit those descriptions, this stays fun to play, and I never mind pulling it out.

Europe is the most interesting and fun map, IMO. It's both harder and more interesting than USA, with a both a better layout and additional mechanics such as ferries, tunnels, and stations. If you only get one version, get Europe.

The USA map is much simpler and less interesting.

Europe has a more interesting layout, more contention for routes, it's harder to complete routes, and adds additional mechanics that make the game more interesting. I enjoy USA, but I really like Europe, and I think it has more staying power.

If you only get one, get Europe.

Harder, and more interesting. The map layout is more interesting, and leads to more contention. It's harder to complete routes, which makes each one feel like an achievement. The ferries give a reason to pull the wildcard locomotives, the tunnels add a bit of unpredictability, and the stations let you recover should someone completely cut you off.

I feel like Europe is a nice improvement over USA, and my favorite of all the TTR maps.

It is a great game, though pretty different from Catan. Bonanza is the game to pick up if you want something similar to (and, IMO, better than) Catan.

I would disagree, and I find it much more fun.

The tunnels do add a bit of unpredictability, so I can understand that causing some frustration, but you have control over it. You can roll the dice, so to speak, and try your luck, or you can stock up on extra cards and play it safe.

Europe improves on USA in several ways, IMO. The map is more interesting, and encourages more contention, which leads to more interesting games. Completing each route is harder, which makes each one feel like an accomplishment. Ferries and tunnels give you a reason to pull wildcard locomotives, while stations help alleviate the issue of others cutting you off.

Combined I think the additions in Europe make it more fun and interesting, and a game that remains interesting longer.
