Best Buy currently has Asus Zenfone 3 Max ZC520TL + $70 Cricket Wireless Refill Card + Cricket SIM Activation Kit for $145.98

First, add either (different colors) into shopping cart
Asus - ZenFone 3 Max 4G LTE with 16GB Memory Cell Phone (Unlocked) - Titanium Gray [bestbuy.com]
or
Asus - ZenFone 3 Max 4G LTE with 16GB Memory Cell Phone (Unlocked) - Glacier Silver
[bestbuy.com]

Then, go to here [bestbuy.com] to add the $ 9.99 sim card and $70 Cricket wireless refill card into cart

Total should be $145.98 +local tax + 911 fee (if any) , free shipping or store pickup

You can also purchase other refill card amount (lowest is $40). But since you're getting 20% off from those refill cards, it's a better deal to purchase the highest amount.

This essentially make the phone itself cost $75.98 ($145.98-$70 refill card). The refill card can be used for current Cricket customer or new customers.

Does anyone know if you can refund the sim card kit at a brick & mortar Best buy for $9.99? If so, that will further lower the cost and make the deal even better.
Update for future deals like this: Yes, you can return the SIM card to bestbuy B&M for refund. Therefore, this make deal ever sweeter ($135.99 for Asus Zenfone 3 Max ZC520TL +$70 refill card).

Nice post, but FYI, you don't have to use $70 refill card. You can do the $40 one.

If you are already a Cricket customer, can you use the refill card for anything?

After looking into the refill card, yes you can. I thought it was just for pay as you go type service; I should have read the details first, before assuming.

Any comparable phones that support MHL? I want to be able to watch Netflix with Tmobile, on a TV.

Except for battery and slight increase in processing speed, is out worth another $40 (including cricket discount) compared to Moto E4? Which sells for$40 on Verizon which cam be unlocked for gsm?

The Verizon bootloader is locked so no flashing any custom ROM in the future, especially when Moto has clearly given its plans of not updating the OS on the Moto E4 series.
