Don't forget Amazon isn't an authorized distributor so kiss the warranty goodbye.

Isn't that just 3rd party sellers?

Last I checked with them no and it's Amazon wide. Fossil tends to hold their authorized distributors to obviously their own stores and outlets, and most major department stores. You can contact them via Facebook and probably get a faster response then email and may get an answer today to verify they still don't honor Amazon purchases although it is Sunday so you may not be able to reach them until Monday via phone, email, or Facebook.

Okay, I think you're right. After looking at a few watches, some of them state "Warranty: 2-Year Amazon.com Warranty provided by Asurion, instead of the manufacturer.", while others don't state anything at all.

I've previously purchased a Fossil watch from Amazon. It had some problems and I took it to a Fossil store and they just grabbed one right off the floor and replaced it. The rep said it's still a current model so they have no problem doing that, but if it was a model they didn't carry in store they wouldn't have been able to help.

Like Scgt mentioned, if you buy a watch from Amazon it won't be covered under their warranty. Though, their warranty seems pretty spotty anyway. Straight off their website:

Quote :
"The hands, dial, and watch movement are the only components covered under the warranty. If the watch proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use, it will be repaired or replaced free of charge at the discretion of Metro Service Center. A return shipping and handling fee will apply to all warranty service.

The manufacturer's warranty does not cover:

Battery, case, crystal, strap, or bracelet
Damage resulting from improper handling, lack of care, accidents, or normal wear and tear
Water damage unless marked water-resistant (for details regarding water resistance please click here)
Repairs if the watch was not originally purchased from an authorized Fossil retailer
This warranty is void if the watch has been damaged by accident, negligence, unauthorized service, or other factors not due to defects in material or workmanship."
So it seems like it up to the discretion of their service center. Also, it doesn't mention the term length so I suppose it is as long as the parts are available for that specific watch.

On the other hand the same watch is $65 on Amazon while it is $165 on Fossil.com.

Also one user review states that they engraved their watched through fossil and they did not allow them to return it because of this.

TL;DR: Warranty void if purchased through Amazon. $100 cheaper on Amazon. Warranty seems spotty anyway.

Not worth it! I purchased one through Amazon just over a year ago and the battery is dead and one of the dials no longer functions. Pure junk!

I believe you can take it to a fossil store and they'll replace the battery but the dial would have to be fixed somewhere else.

Personally, I won't buy watches off of Amazon although this is a good deal. Won't risk the warranty though.

Who cares about warranty? These are disposable watches...plus the savings here allow you to buy new when this dies.

They're using the Roman numeral (iv)four instead of (ix)nine in some of the models. Did I miss something in school?

Yes, that's a big blunder. And they use llll for 4 vs lV.

I bought one of their Android Wear watches on Amazon. The band had an annoying squeek and I left a review on Amazon. Fossil contacted me and sent me a new band for free.

I've bought Fossil watches off Amazon and had normal repairs directly from Fossil without issue. I don't belive they asked for receipt either although it states it is required. Just fill out their form and send it in.
