Hi everyone,

This popular deal has returned in many colors to choose from. Shipping is free with shoprunner and/or an Eddie Bauer Adventures Reward membership of bronze or higher.

In my personal experience these are fantastic daypacks that won't take a large footprint when not in use.

Stowaway Packable 20L Daypack [eddiebauer.com] - $15

Stowaway 10L Packable Sling Bag [eddiebauer.com] - $15

In addition, the larger 30L daypack and 40L duffel are also on sale. Both are also packable for that small footprint. I also have the duffel and it's great for a lot of things, however, the opening is fairly small. It's fine to put clothing in for a few days, but I couldn't get a standard basketball to fit in the opening, unfortunately.

Stowaway 30L Packable Pack [eddiebauer.com] - $20

Stowaway 40L Packable Duffel [eddiebauer.com] - $20

As a reminder, the adventure rewards expires this month, so if you've purchased enough items and are enrolled, you may have a $10.00 or more voucher waiting for you! To check sign into your account, click adventure rewards, and scroll down to see if there is one and a redeem button. Smilie

Wife wanted one last year so we bought one in store. I'm not impressed, it's basically a fancy version of those drawstring bags. It's quite floppy and forget about any back support, it also completely loses its form if there's something heavy like a water bottle in it. Good for a couple hours but I don't think taking it on a full day trip is wise

Totally different products. Our family has several of these EB packables and I can tell you that the backpack in particular is not an every day carry bag or one that I'd want to put much weight in. Calling it a "daypack" implies touring/hiking and I wouldn't use it for that as they are very thin and have almost no padding or structure. That said, it's kind of the point - they are easily packable down to a fraction of their volume so they can be readily stored away or thrown into a larger bag/case.

We use ours primarily when traveling to segregate something like beach clothing for the trip home, or when we are sending extra items for a child's overnight stay, and we just pack them away instead of having a collection of extra backpacks or smaller luggage to store most of the year. These are not of a supremely durable material but we've put them through several trips without any special care in their use and they have all held up fine. The duffel is a little more versatile but as another poster said the top opening is small so it has limited utility beyond clothes or a collection of smaller items, and I wouldn't want to really test more than 10lbs in there.

Overall I have no complaints but IMO it's all about your expectations - if you want a substitute for a laptop backpack or a structured travel bag, look elsewhere.

The material used seems like it is rip prone and not durable, as in after lots of use it will wear and thin. I haven't owned any Eddie Bauer products, can some one speak from experience?
Seems like one of those companies that tends to mark up mediocre build/material items due to name.
I was looking at this pack
https://slickdeals.net/f/10565436-30l-water-resistant-daypack-laptop-backpack-with-laptop-compartment-and-rain-cover-suit-35-amazon-fss

At it looks more robust and better distributes item in the back. The EB has separating pockets but they don't look snug.
Details form experience would be appreciated.

Go larger, you dont have to fill it. 20L is good for a day trip.

How do I use Shoprunner for free shipping? It keeps telling me that my order should be 15.00 or more to qualify.

It should have a lifetime warranty, so if it actually is defective you likely can get a replacement.

It says $25 or more for free shipping, but if you go to checkout, it still stays free. I was able to order the duffel for $20 + tax.

Shop runner has different minimums that need met for their partner sites. I believe Eddie Bauer is $25, but if you are bronze or higher for the reward membership there shouldn't be a minimum.

sign in shoprunner and return to the product page. You should see the shipping charge gone.

I'll take anyone's $10 code if they're not using it. Going to get a new diaper bag for the boys
