Good deal, I have this model and the newer second edition. Sound wise I can't tell the difference between the two. The newer edition is splash resistant so if that matters to you then you may want to explore it. I recommend this speaker highly. The run time simply cannot be beat and the sound quality is excellent.

I'm holding out for Bluetooth v27.

This is a great deal; I absolutely love mine and am trying to find a reason to pick up a second one! Smilie

This is from a question on Amazon regarding this speaker:

"I can confirm that the speaker will still automatically shut off after 10 minutes of inactivity even when plugged in. It's the reason I returned mine because ot basically makes it unable to be used with Alexa.
Danny Internets answered on November 25, 2016"

Hope that helps

Great deal!! The lowest I got for an ad mistake was $24.99.

It has good sound, extremely long lasting batteries (24 hours play time) although it's not water proof. Smilie

Since you actually own both this SoundCore speaker and the newer version, I'd really like to get some more feedback from you on the two of them. Is the battery life noticeably better on either one? What about the Bluetooth range? Or the bass? And would you say there's any reason to pay more for the newer version? Or would you suggest saving $7 to $10 and just getting this one while it's available at this price? If you would reply when you get a chance, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

How does this compare to the Shark one? Bass, clarity, highs?

I've got the older version. The thing rocks not matter which one you go with. Excellent battery life.

Highly recommend it, Ive used it on the job site (construction) for the last several months. Battery life is ridiculous! It's holding up just fine and the blue tooth range is great as well.

I've had several of these, and the micro USB connection in the charger port broke on 2 of them within a year. I've never seen that happen on any device before except these.
