Polk Audio MC80 In-Ceiling Loud speakers $49 after Sunday coupon, FS @ Frys

Frys has this crazy good deal on Polk Audio MC80 in-ceiling speakers for $49 each after Sunday coupon code with free shipping. Limit is 5 per customer. These are very highly rated speakers that go for $100 everywhere else from a reputed dealer.

Act fast before the free shipping is gone and they will only become in-store only. I just ordered 6 with free shipping in 2 separate orders and I am all set for my 7.1.2 Atmos set up. Got a klispch sub, a center channel, LR previously and these 6 speakers will look really clean in the ceiling in my basement.

The MC80 has been $49 each at least once per month at Fry's since July. It's a good speaker but last I read, Polks are not timbre matched to be mixed with Klipsch as the OP plans to do. Maybe they will still sound good enough in spite of not being timbre matched.

I had them previously in my last house and they sound amazing. Had to leave them when we moved since I didn't want to leave holes in the ceiling if I removed them. They have movable directional tweeters which is a nice touch for ceilings surrounds.

And they were never below $50 and hardly availble for free shipping.

I've heard the MC80 and MC60 speakers before and they sound good. The question is how do they sound while watching a movie when mixed with a bunch of Klipsch speakers that are not timbre matched?

At one point I wanted to mix Polk and Klipsch speakers myself, and I was told stick with all Polk or all Klipsch by several people. I was surprised to see you were mixing them.

I am not an audiophile and can certainly live with them. The LR are towers and these polks will all be surrounds ceiling mounted. Aesthetics is important to me as well and don't like speakers/wires showing anywhere in the room except near the front.

Are these promo codes shareable? If so, anyone willing to part with one?

Just got the MC80 today from Fry's Sunday deal. Tested against:
1. Micca M-8C 8 Inch 2-Way In-Ceiling Speaker with Pivoting 1" Silk Dome Tweeter
$40 Center
2. Klipsch KHC-6 In-Ceiling Loudpeakers
$48/pair Front rear ceiling

I am returning the MC80 tomorrow. I am no audio expert. I can definitely tell the difference.

I will stick with the cheap Klipsch and Micca.
