Xiamen Airlines, a SkyTeam member and Skytrax's rated 3/5 stars (matching United & American) has limited round trip airfares travelling from Los Angeles (LAX) to Tokyo Japan (NRT) or to Seoul Korea for $422 incuding taxes and government-imposed fees. This makes 1 layover stop in Xiamen, China for sure and for Seoul, there's one flight that will make 2 stops.
