This is a traditional RF frequency video monitor that is top rated by pretty much all the baby gear websites/publications, Wirecutter, and highly rated and a top seller on Amazon. I prefer a simple RF setup to IP cameras and cloud systems that rely on WIFI and working internet.

The price on Amazon is currently $166, right around its usual price, but dipped to their all time low of $152 the other day. So this is a significant deal.

I already picked his up in store and seems to be working great. My Samsung unit, that I never loved, crapped out after 4 years and we needed a new unit for child #2.

I have had this monitor set up as a 2 camera system for about a year now. I did a crazy amount of reading reviews and ratings before buying after having one shit out on me. I'm glad I did. Other then the battery not lasting as long after almost constant use, this thing is flawless. At $115 it's a deal.

When using as a two camera system, can you hear both monitored rooms at the same time or do you need to manually switch between the two?

I have this and concur with you and the OP... I've used several baby monitors and this one is is easily the best of the bunch. I haven't played around with trying a different lens - basically just keep it pointed at the crib.

Nice find OP. I think I paid like $130 from a random ebay seller.

I have this system as well and it's performed well. We've had to replace the monitor 3 or 4 times over three years. Fortunately they do have great customer service so it hasn't cost us anything to get them replaced. Different things have broken on the monitor each time so seems cheaply made (or they're sending me refurbs as replacements).

There is a scan feature that toggles through each camera every few seconds. Audio only works for the camera displayed at that time.

No you can't hear both at the same time. It automatically switches between the two cameras every 15 seconds or so.

Sweet! In for one. Still significantly cheaper than Amazon + registry completion discount.

Same here. We've had three units. It's always the USB cord to charge that gets bent and damages the charging port. If you don't ever move the unit, you'll be good. But, if you do, I would expect to deal with their customer service.

I agree, they were great to work with, minus having to send it back twice and get it replaced.

Very different experiences. With something like this, it is simple to set up, no security issues, and should generally do its job no matter what (interference can be an issue). Having a dedicated video unit is convenient.

With a cloud cam, there can be security issues but you can watch from anywhere. But your internet can go down, your device always has to be plugged in, things can crash, etc.

That's really helpful, appreciate it.
