Because it's cheaper to make and there's always a sucker who will buy it. Gotta maximize profits.

For most of my uses 2.0 is fine, so if they are cheaper it is what i will buy.

I'm one of those suckers who buy those cheap usb for storing school works (few MBs!), or use them as a boot drive. My mining rigs dont even have a hard drive. 8gb 2.0 usbs work fine on them!

For some uses you just don't need more speed. In those cases you get these since they are cheaper. My esxi rig's install works just great off of these. The vm's use HD's

Do you get 5 flash drives for this price? The descriptor only talks about them in the singular.

"Sliding cover helps protect the drive and its contents.
High-capacity USB flash drive lets you take your files wherever you go."

It's not. But hard to find anything cheaper (except for garbage quality)

There are things you can use USB 2.0 on such as car stereos, TVs with USB ports and raspberry pi. They don't require speedy thumb drives

We should all switch back to a 3 1/2 inch floppy disk. It just works.
