I recently purchased the XT-1 for $799 and am weighing whether or not the XT-20 is worth the extra $400 bucks.

Good deal for a comprehensive starter kit, but you miss out on the excellent 18-55mm kit lens. If you're new to non point and shoot photography and don't know what you want out of your camera yet, I'd personally jump on this.

Although this kit lens is not given wide aperture as 18-55, the sharpness is really good. The Fuji hand grip is a must for bigger hands and usually sell for $100. Not to mention 50-230 II which is superb lenses compare to its price. So, if you want to buy X-T20, get this combo. You won't regret it.

Xt-20 is probably worth about 300 extra. But not sure if you would trade the 35mm for these two zooms. 16-50 seems way to slow. 50-230mm is useful but 35mm is more useful.

While not exactly a repost (this contains a few more goodies), B&H has a similar deal at the same price point:

And wouldn't you know it, I was the only voice in this thread for that deal that maintained the lenses WEREN'T [*insert naughty word here*]. That deal, incidentally, has a "-1" rating while as of this writing this deal is "+9". SlickDeals is a silly place. Wave

No. I have an xpro2 and xt1 and the image quality difference isn't significant. Depending on the size of your hands, the xt20 is very uncomfortable--i couldnt get rid of my xt10 fast enough; it was literally the most uncomfortable camra ive ever owned.(edit: it looks like this comes with the grip. that's a huge plus.) Look at it this way: with that xt1 deal, you got a 35mm f2 included, a 350 value. Which makes the xt1 really only 450. The two lenses included here are junk. If you've already received your xt1 and have to flip it on the used market, you'll only get 500ish for it. To purchase this, you'd be out another 700.

I assume that $800 price was brand new? There have been quite a few used ones pop up recently under $600 so that would honestly be what I would buy today if I didn't already have an x100t. I wanted the x100 for the leaf shutter otherwise I would be carrying an xt-1 for the weather sealing. I didn't get my x100t out in Depoe Bay the morning of the Eclipse because there was enough spray and moisture in the air it didn't feel like a good idea.

For me, it would be very dependent on what you are shooting. I would hold more value in the extra cash to go towards another lens. Also if you are doing any level of video the xt-20 would be beneficial but arguably there are better cameras for that function.

If you know someone in the military, the Navy Exchange usually has the XT-20 with 2 lenses on sale for ~$900.

They have a 5-50% scratcher in store as well. No idea if it is ever any good but throwing it out there.

I wouldn't get these two lenses, you'll want to upgrade very soon and they're worth next to nothing used.

Nice camera! I got one with the 18-55 and all the pics came out great!
Better take the combo 18-55.
