Hmm....I have an AT&T iPad 2 64GB Wifi+ Cellular - Silver that is flawless and has the original box, all accessories, even the paperwork and stickers that came in the box.

I was going to sell it but wasn't sure what I'd get. This was the most expensive iPad at the time and it's tough to see it only worth $100.

I'm going to check out Ebay and see what these are selling for, but I might end up trading it and using the $100 towards a 4G Apple TV.

Thanks OP - the trade-in offers Ive seen previously are crazy low like $20.

You get a minimum of $100 for iPad 2, iPad mini or iPad 3. Good price for those with the base configuration of these models.

I sold my base three on facebook for $175 last year and you would thought the guy just won the lottery. I would probably go that route vs these trade in deals.

If you have original box and accessories, you can trade into amazon for a really good price, I recently traded my iPad mini 1 in for $110

Really? Because I'd love to sell mine for $200. I wonder how much of a difference it makes to the average buyer between a top-end iPad 2 cellular like mine and a base iPad 3 like yours?

18 months ago, I flat expected $300-$350 because my iPad 2 is in such flawless, pretty much "open box/looks totally untouched" condition, but that dream bubble burst quickly.

I sold (via an Ebay auction listing ) a brand new/still-sealed-in -the-cellophane iPad Mini 4 64GB Wifi Gold for $399.99 in March but the guy never paid. (Ugh, I get too many of those people.) And then I waited to relist for a number of very good reasons. When I did relist about 8 weeks later, the iPads had plummeted and that same iPad was selling for maximum $200. Sad.

I still have it listed and just got another offer - the most recent was for $300. I turned it down because the Mini 4's are FINALLY going back up.....buyers are starting to realize Apple isn't making a Mini 5 and the Mini 4 is IT. Plus, they are getting hard to find, especially in brand new/sealed condition for the 64GB and 128 GB models. 16 GB floods the market and they are useless unless you store nothing and use no Apps.

Anyway.....I'm hoping to recoup my $399.99 and definitely sell my iPad 2.

The $100 giftcard is tempting though ....no shipping costs, no Ebay + PayPal fees, no scammer buyers ....and I'd definitely use the $100. Just re-buy the 4K Apple TV I ordered on Friday, apply the $100 giftcard to it, and return the full price ATV-4K.

Hmmmmm..

I appreciate your info rypajo I'm going to Rep you for it.

Has anyone else sold iPad 2's on Ebay or Amazon recently?
If so, what specs and how much?

REALLY? I had no idea. I have everything - even the cellophane. Seriously, I keep my electronics pristine and ready to re-sell so they all look like they were just purchased retail and can even be given as gifts. It's kind of my "thing" and my Ebay customers love it when they see I've listed a used product. But the iPad 2 is so outdated now that I'm not sure it will matter that it's in "retail perfect" condition with all the original packaging and details.

It's also tough to think about trading in such a perfectly preserved device, not to mention with all the original packaging + accessories, just to have it thrown in a pile for recycling or whatever they do with them.

Is there a special link or place to go to get the value on the Amazon trade you used?

I'm repping you as well OneLifeOnly - that's really helpful info!

Nope, just google amazon trade in and go to the website, once there just type in your product name (apple iPad mini 1st gen 16gb silver) and find your specific item, once you get there it'll ask for your conditions and stuff and then they send you a label and you ship it to them Smilie then they give you an amazon gift card.

my air 2 64GB LTE has the same $200 valuation as an air 2 16GB Wifi. Unreal.

There's no way Amazon is giving anywhere near $110 for the original iPad mini....box or no box
