No love?

I understand the OD had it cheaper and was non-refurb ... but that was price mistake.

I think bestbuy had this set on sale previously for $365. Waiting for this set to hit $300 so I can get 2 sets...

$65 seems like a good price for the EA8500 which uses 4-stream hardware from Qualcomm Atheros so MU-MIMO might actually work although SmallNetBuilder's MU-MIMO results [smallnetbuilder.com] were concerning.

Be aware that Linksys has apparently locked down the firmware and removed serial headers in recently manufactured routers making it more difficult to install third-party firmware.

Hi all,

We received a number of Ebay customer contacts about failed attempts to purchase the refurb Velop 3-Pack with PayPal during checkout. We have since resolved this issue with PayPal. Apologies to any confusion or frustration this may have caused.

Thanks,

Hi,

We still need to set them up on the site. I takes us longer to get on Linksys.com than is does on Ebay. Should have it up on Linksys.com in about 4 weeks or sooner.

Thanks,

Looking for a straightforward modem to do basic surfing and streaming. Any advice on the EA8500 compared to the many other options out there?

Price sensitive so prefer as inexpensive as possible without sacrificing too much on quality. No need for the advanced functionality given the use.

Possible to apply the 15 off 75 to make this a little better.

Very interested in that 8500. I have the EA6900 and it was fantastic. I gave it to my mother and have been trying to use an Ubiquiti system now but their access points require a router anyways so I feel like I should just sell those and go for an all-in-one solution again.

This is why I will not buy the EA8500 although it's has almost the same hardware as the Netgear X4S.

Bought the EA8500, thanks OP!

Only downside is that it says delivery date will be next friday and there was sales tax. The 8% ebay bucks promo right now will wipe that out though...
