Bought this TV new last July for $379.99. Absolutely love everything about it except the lack of apps (primarily Plex).

We use it as our bedroom TV and have it wallmounted. I previously used a Vizio sound stand but with the TV but since it's wallounted now we just use the built in speakers. I will say that they're some of the best built in speakers I've ever used. They fire against the wall and sound great for bedroom viewing.

Picture quality is fantastic to me and my wife. We use a Xiaomi 4K media player to take advantage of the minimal 4K content we watch.

At $279.99 and if your CC will tag on 1 year of warranty, great deal.

Very nice! TU. But product page doesn't say HDR.

Hisense TVs have gorgeous panels. I a 65" non-HDR and just ordered the 50" Roku version from Sam's Club. Unfortunately Hisense seems to be getting rid of their 4 year warranties (got it on the 65" but only 1yr on the 50" +1yr Discover card).

Just a heads up that Hisense TVs don't have much in terms of apps. You essentially get a basic YouTube app.

Make sure you have a casting device attached (or get a Roku version).

(though you can also cast to the YouTube app because Google is awesome. Involves some finicky setup for that.)

Not sure if this is HDR... Some sites info has it as, several don't mention it.
Plus, what HDR is it supporting?

H8C is HDR, not that it matters. Good luck finding content.

If the smart shit is Opera and you want to use it...don't bother buying it unless you only do basic shit like netflx.

Assuming all H8C series are the same
http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/hisense/h8c

I would be all over this if I had not bought a 40" Samsung less than a year ago...

Xbox One S has several games that use HDR (Forza Horizon 3, Ghost Recon Wildlands and several others)

I used to own this Tv and gave it to my mother
I paid about this price as an open box clearance item at Best Buy

It does have HDR but like so many non upper end TV's it really cant get bright enough to give you a great HDR experience
It does have some issues...viewing angles are terrible and it has some picture processing issues from time to time...dirty screen effect and the sharpness can be wonky on certain programming

Apps are basic...youtube..Pandora..netflix

It will do HDR "lite"...it doesn't get bright enough to give you the best experience vs top end TV's
It supports HDR10..no Dolby vision

HDR = Yes
A little misleading.

It reads HDR through USB and HDMI but not the internal apps. So if you want it to read HDR content it has to be a gaming console (Ex. Xbox One S) or external HDMI HDR capable streaming device (Ex. Roku ultra).

Cant just open Netflix or Amazon through the internal apps and get HDR. Kind of annoying but it was a solid tv last year.
