Are these the second gens or something? I swore I've seen the IPS version for $550 before and at brick and mortar costco for $500. I've heard way to many bad things to be spending that much on a monitor, although I'm tempted by the specs.

Those ips prices were pretty limited stock. People are willing to go through the warranty rigamarole to get a decent panel at a decent price. Until oled or hdr monitors start popping up, these old models are still top of the line next to 34" ips ultrawides.

But tn is def not worth this price.

this is a very common price for the TN version of the monitor. the IPS verision, however, would be a STEAL at this price.
