These mounts are cheap plastic, many of the same similar mounts can be found on ebay/aliexpress china, might work okay, but I wouldn't bet on it for durability and long term use on a motorcycle that vibrates on the road.

That thing looks flimsy, but I am sure its strong. Not gonna drop $70 at this point, since I only need it a couple times a year for when I going to a new place. Until now I have been using google maps via voice command, its annoying, but it still gets me from point A to B.

Thanks for the reply.

It is pretty strong, and easy to use. One of the most recommended mounts around. RAM X-Grip is a good alternative too.

Thanks, already bought the one in the OP, its for very light use. If its not good I will return and try the RAM X-Grip. Thanks for the reply.

For occasional light use it should be fine

Good luck with it. No experience with this one but I can vouch for the quad lock. Good stuff there and can usually find deals on it.

Another cheap alternative could be a running armband possibly and wearing it down on your wrist ? Not as easy line of sight, but would be secure. No clue how feasible that could be for your position on the bike , but another less than $10 option if you don't trust the plastic mount

This mount (same as the ROAM brand) is a POS which breaks (when tightening the thumb screw) before you feel it's secure!! Before it broke, it held phones okay, but was pretty loose compared to others I've had
