For those who need another Dock, Bestbuy has the Nintendo Switch Dock (Open Box - Excellent Condition) for $71.99 + Tax. I have no seen any discounts on the Dock so this may be an option if you are looking for one.

This is YMMV.

in the end its more cost effective to just buy another swtich... you get another set of joycons, another dock. the extra unit is handy, and easy then to play with freinds. plus an extra adapter, and straps... it just makes sense

Yes it makes complete sense to just spend another $200+ dollars, unless you are just looking to play the Switch on another TV, which is the reason for the dock.

if you took 15 seconds to try and rationalize what i said, you might be able to understand. otherwise it's hard to imagine someone like yourself playing videogames when i'm certain your knuckles drag the ground.
His response was logical. Your retort is defensive jibberish.

It only took ten seconds for me to determine that what you said was completely irrational, hence my response.

the nintendo switch is roughly 320 dollars with tax. this includes the console, dock, joycons, straps, hdmi cable, and adapter.

Separately the dock is 70-90 joycons 80, Ac adapter (official: $30). if you factor into your decision making many will get AT LEAST one more set of joy cons. and if an extra dock is useful to you, then you would understand you could potentially pay an extra 160-180 dollars just for an extra dock and another set of joycons.(Yes, there are other docks out there, and only time will tell how they hold up. i like Nykos offering, but its still 50 bucks). so if you look at those two items, and consider an extra AC adapter (ignoring the extra USB -C cables and adapters that our out there, if you want to verify complete compatibility with everything) you'd be looking at 190-210 for just those extra purchases.

now factor in the thought of paying 90 dollars JUST for the console, its pretty tempting. so buying the extra console could be a good purchase, especially if you factor in the added gameplay and opotions you know have when you're out and about, as you can now link the two consoles and play games on an expanded level.

If the wii is any indication, its going to be tough to find some of the official accessories for a decent discount. so i've set my expectations to just buy the damn things at full price, rather than saving 20 dollars after waiting for 10 months for SOMETHING to go on sale.

it seems to make sense to those who fully choose to utilize the switch for it's options and has great benefits to just buy two of them Personally i'm just waiting for the mario oddysey bundle to get my second one. i dont really have an interest waiting for a long time to find some discounted accessories. though i still think i'll be pickinng up the nyko dock for outright travel, though that lets me keep the docks all hooked up in the bedroom (or mobile tv cart we have) and the living room setup.

I've bought a second and third official dock. I paid $35 and $40 for the docks only on Craigslist and 2 official Nintendo ac adapters for $14 and $13 on eBay. I also bought a pro controller open box from offerup for $35 and just won a slightly used second pro controller for $34 on eBay.

I paid $171 for 2 dock setups and 2 pro controllers. Really the only people I see buying an extra set of joy-cons are collectors. The pro controller is far far superior to the joy-cons. That's why I bought the pro controllers, joy- cons kinda suck.

Anyway if someone is into reselling then buying a second unit might be a decent idea. If one isn't into the risk and hassle of reselling then it's much better to buy off of craigs or eBay.

I agree... The dock $80, joy cons $80., That's half he cost right here. Shoot... Your could probably sell the switch sans dock and come out on top... I play my switch without the dock... I think I used the dock twice.

There is a port replicator on Amazon for $28 that will let you play switch ok TV...

thanks! I didn't know you could get OEM power adaptors that cheap on eBay. I could use another one.

I also lost my OEM controller grip and joy con straps. Maybe I can find them cheap also on eBay.

And another dock would be nice just for on the go. It's annoying to disconnect your main dock each time you head somewhere everyone can play Switch with you. With an extra dock and adapter, I could keep a to-go bag ready nearby.

Yeah I've seen the OEM grip for under $8. To get these prices you just need to monitor often for a day or two.
