They sold this out to too many people already. I bought it a couple months ago and now it's slow af. Tried so many locations and this is really watered down. I have 150mbps internet and I'll be lucky to get 10mbps with this. usually in the single digit speeds.

odd that you say that since i use it 24/7 daily on one of my computers and don't have any performance issues that are noticeable to me.

I pay for 100mbps both way,s and I probably get between 25-50 usually, which is less but not an issue for me, and I assume same for most.

The only problem I experienced is sending email through google's SMTP server. Always have to turn off the VPN before the email goes through.

Seconded. I tried contacting customer service and didn't get anywhere. It is good to use during off-peak times. But for the most part it is pretty slow. 75 mbps internet here.

Also, the Chrome plug-in causes Chrome to crash if you have it set to auto-connect.

Netflix also has an issue while it is running, I haven't tried to troubleshoot it though (not really any reason to run netflix through proxy, lol).

I bought a lifetime sub a few months ago for like $30 and noticed a the speed has been a lot slower the past 3 weeks. Using Windscribe at work normally I would get about 30Mbps, now down to about 10Mbps on average, home I normally get 50Mbps and now down to single digits most of the time. With Windscribe off I get about 45 - 60 at work & 50 - 70 at home. It was great a few months ago, so many increase of users is causing the issue or they have some sort of tech issue they need to fix.

I never used a VPN service before and would like to view BBC's iplayer. Is there an option to turn off Winscribe when I'm done and just go back to my regular IP?

I have found that using the Windows client is pretty slow. With that said, they provide specific setups for a variety of platforms. I've found no issues with using the custom Deluge (bittorent) setup and the Chrome browser plugin as far as speed goes. I read somewhere that they are having speed issues with the OpenVPN setup (which is what the Windows client currently uses). The other platforms that I've mentioned use a different configuration which is not as speed constrained. The Windows client is supposedly going to switch to this other configuration at some point in the near future as it has lower overhead and can provide faster speeds.

They also claim that they're only at 30% capacity. Take that as you will...
