Sometimes you can get a night at a Hampton Inn for as low as 20,000 points. Think I will pass on this deal.

I exchanged my 30K HHonors points for 5625 AA miles this April. I plan to use my AA frequent flyer miles for a free trip next time.

I can use my remaining points for $19 Amazon credit....... since I usually stay at hotels for business trips only. For vacations, I always use my AirBnb credits for free stays. Smilie

Good advice. Don't want to get too off topic here, but since we are discussing a much better use of the points than Amazon: There are a few 10k Hamptons scattered across the country as well.
Farmington NM, Van Buren AR, Miami OK, and Falls River MA are all decent 10k properties.

Fayetteville NC is a must avoid, even for 1k points. It is a run down motel with the Hampton name on it. I don't want to get in trouble for linking to someone else's site, but if you google "10000 point hampton inns" it is the first link (usually) and you can see the entire worldwide list.

International is also a good use for HH points. I've used 10k points for stays in SE asia, europe, etc

Absolutely agree. My favorite stay was at the new Doubletree in Bangkok, for around 15-20k points. Amazing hotel and breakfast.

In my experience, if you are a hilton honors member, the only way to gain decent benefit from the program is to opt for "point and points" and to only use your accumulated points on free stays for 20-40k properties. I was diamond for three years, and will be again in a month. yaaaay, travel season.....
