Do you guys think this bed is a fire hazard? I know it only uses 4 watts, but even a 4-watt nightlight can be dangerous sometimes.

Thanks!

I wouldn't trust it overnight. I am a bit biased though as we had a house fire caused by a window fan about 15 years ago an d it nearly killed us all. Now I'm paranoid.

Yeah.. I know how you feel. I had a Mercedes that caught fire. The factory sound system's amplifier was located in the trunk. It caught fire while the car was parked overnight in my driveway. I had to park in the driveway that night because I was having the garage floor redone. That was fortunate... because if the car with the fire was inside the garage, it could have been a lot worse. (insurance paid almost $5000 to repair the fire damage which was mostly limited to the trunk area of the Mercedes, but I still get somewhat paranoid)

I have two of these beds that stay plugged in all winter long for my two elderly cats. They provide enough heat to keep a cat cozy, but I think it's only about 5 degrees over the ambient temperature. If a cat isn't in them, they really don't feel all that warm to the touch.
