I purchased one on the first time around. Doesn't work well at all on our house and it is getting boxed up and going back. Signal says ok but it does not detect motion anymore - nothing after the first day and even then we saw nothing actually there when it went off. Now even the doorbell part isn't working. Looking at the Outdoor Nest cameras (they are adding a doorbell 2018) or maybe will go with something cheaper like Funlux.

Got mine yesterday and will just have time to install this next Saturday, I really hope it works, I've been reading bad things about it and also Skybell. Seems like every now and then it doesn't work for someone.

Thanks for sharing your experience, and hope the Nest Hello come with a good price! Smilie

Got this on the last go around. The app says my service expires in 30 days, but the insert in the box indicated that no code was needed to recognize the one year free service (assume it's supposed to be linked to the serial#). Anyone else have this issue and figure it out?

I've had mine for about 7 months now. Never any problems. Friend also bought one at the same time. No problems for him either. I have a tree out front and if the wind is 15mph or so, it will trigger the motion sensor. This happens about once every couple of weeks. Not a big deal. I run mine off battery so I need to put it on a charger every couple of months. It comes off quickly, placed on charger for 2-3 hours and put it back out. Subscription is $30/year and it's the only way you can record/save video. Well worth it.

I removed the metal cover plate and painted it to match my house. I used some textured metal looking spray paint. Came out really nice.

Thanks for the heads-up, but after the Halloween fiasco I'm probably returning mine. It stopped working around 2pm and just returned after 6pm EDT. I didn't captured a single kid that day! We wanted to review the videos because we were out and left a big bowl at the porch, nothing, we just know that the kids were very polite because there was left over candies. Just a little, like 10, but they left some candies.

Hi Auadix,

I hear you, connecting everything into the cloud without a failover design when that connectivity dies has been a big disappointment during my evaluation of various products.

Yeah, I had some conversation about it in other forums, cloud solution can be very tricky and it was a big disappointment this Halloween. It's not a bad product, for $149 it worth a little more, but I would be happier with a local storage doorbell.
