I just answered my own question, but thought I would put it here for others:

Quote from Newegg :
Gift Cards do not expire.
EDIT: See post below about promo giftcards

Here is a FP thread from about 9 years ago. (@ $211) https://slickdeals.net/e/838549-out-of-stock-polk-audio-psw125-12-powered-subwoofer-211?src=SiteSearch if you want to do some reading. I am guessing some people will chime on on this thread, or point out some current alternatives. I am thinking of pulling the trigger. I buy from Newegg often, so the $100 gift card will be used without going out of my way. Like wise, the cherry finish on this will look well with my (cherry) oak hardwood floors and the Polk tower speakers I have coming. I look forward to reading updated comments.

It looks like this is a "Promo" gift card, which does expire after one year. FYI Smilie

I finally bought one of these thanks to you!

Assuming you consider the gift card "cash" then it's $130... comparable to the Dayton Sub1200 on sale... and the Dayton has better specs without the gift card complication.

Currently OOS... but it goes on sale/they do coupons fairly often to knock 20-30 bucks off the $148 price, bringing it down to about what this guy is, with better performance.

(it used to go as low as $99, but since word got out of how good it was for the price they've jacked it up some)

It depends. The soundbar has not output, but you might can also connect the sound source to both. So, look on your audio source unit to see if it has RCA or AUX output that can feed both your sound bar and the sub.

I'm not familiar with this PSW125 model. Where does it fit in with the PSW10 and the PSW505 models which are often talked about here?

So anyone know how this compares to the Klipsch R-12SW? I don't care for the wireless. All I care is the sound quality.

This will be placed in a pretty large living room directly in front of the couch if I can.

Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

Define "pretty large"

Because you're gonna need to spend quite a bit more $ than anything discussed here to fill an especially large room with deep bass.

If you're ok missing out on the really deep stuff the Jamo J110 for $179 on ebay right now is a pretty solid deal (though even then you'd want 2 of em spread out in a large space)

I got my PSW125 today. It sitting on hardwood floors. The living room is 17x21, with vaulted ceiling going 18feet up to an open loft. There is also an open stairwell, and an open archway into the dinning room. The PSW125 is large, about 1/2 the size of an end table. I have it on rubber, isolation feet, port is down, so on the hardwood. It's about 3 inches from the wall, near a corner.

Galantis' "You"[Brillz Remix] will rattle the wall hangings. I'm pleased for the price. Have a year to spend $100 at Newegg. Taking that out, $130 free ship, no tax. I am cool with this.

I should note, the cherry does not match other Polk cherry products, for it is a lighter shade than both the floors, and the other Polk speakers I have.

I can tell you that the PSW125 is not considered large -- a large subwoofer would be the size of a side table at the very minimum.. Also the 30Hz spec might shake your wall hangings but with proper isolation feet, they really should not cause that. That effect is completely undesired for a proper home theater..To truly "feel" bass, you need a subwoofer with sub 20Hz capabilities -- below the threshold for human hearing.

Price is definitely good when you take in account the Newegg gift card, but as previously linked the Dayton 1200 Sub is a much better bang for the buck subwoofer.

I'm enjoy it. I have a tight, brick cottage. But, it has enclosed crawl space. Bass is getting 'out' via the vents underneath, but I'm in boonies.

With the isolated feet, the speaker does not move. I put a solo cup on it, it does not bounce around. (It does if I put the cup on the floor, but that is just the ported air)

Anyway, it's enough for me. Dayton was out of stock, and I wanted something to somewhat match the house. I'm pleased. Audio, is YMMV anyway.

Attached is a picture of the 'woods' for future reference:
