Your watch is defective. That's way out of tolerance. I'd return/exchange it if possible or try and get it covered under warranty.

Seiko makes phenomenal watches, but there are always going to be a certain number of defective units that make it out.

The poster above must have a defective one. Losing that many minutes per day is not typical for Recraft (or any watch for that matter.)

Look at reviews of various Recraft styles and they are generally rated well.

YMMV but I've got the green faced square shaped Recraft (https://www.amazon.com/Seiko-SNKM...B00M0YKOWI) and while I like how stylish it is, the movement is from the Seiko 5 series and not the most accurate. I'm losing about 5-6 minutes every 12 hours.

Amazon says:

"Water resistant to 50 m (165 ft): In general, suitable for short periods of recreational swimming, but not diving or snorkeling".

Not bad, I may go for it

If you like it, yes. It's a little too flashy for my personal taste. But if it fits your style, it's great watch for the money.

Losing minutes on an automatic watch is not a big deal. You will have to adjust after not wearing over a weekend or if you have other watches anyways.
