yeah... looks real bad... my friend has not been able to reach his family on the island for almost 24 hours. Frown

I am one dumb f---- because I just realized that when hurricanes hit, people of Florida can escape by going north... but people of Puerto Rico have no place to go. (other than to local shelters, but still on the island) Frown For the same reason, it will be harder for rescuers and supplies to get to Puerto Rico after the hurricane leaves.

indeed. for people in the islands it's much more difficult to escape. Add to that that the hurricane went from cat 1 to 5 in less than 24 hours...from don'tworry too much to holy crap Frown

Week of Halloween is always A+ to travel. All business travel comes to a halt (due to Halloween). I would head to Aruba (outside hurricane belt).

Frontier has great prices but they aren't reliable (ALWAYS fly out first thing in the AM since plane is already there). Also, watch out for the hidden fees.

PR has a 90% outage in cell towers and power. Unless you're planning to layover or join relief efforts, not the best time to head out.
