I'd highly suggest against Alienware laptops, especially at these prices. From what I've heard the quality control isn't the best and they fail to honor their warranty even after buying directly from them.

I've had 3 Alienware systems. Everything you said is untrue. Best customer service I've ever dealt with.

You got lucky then. I had same as other. Horrible service and horrible QA on their equipment. I started to have issues a year later.. Never again will I buy a Dell laptop. Yes I said Dell because they are now DELL quality...

I just bought the 17" 1440 120 hz GSync via Best Buy open box for $1536 before tax and 1% e-bates. Or I guess you could pay $300 more on this deal for one brand new with a slightly larger ssd.

Their support first-line isn't great but they do eventually make good. I've had no good support from Lenovo and I'm not sure of other OEMs. Apple has great service, but my $1,800 Alienware 13r3 with the OLED I bought today beats the pants off my wife's $2,100 Macbook Pro in every category except maybe support form factor (AW is bulkier, but I wanted that) and touchpad. I even have a 4-year accidental plan vs her 3-year.

So I mean, you're welcome to dislike dell, because I wouldn't call their support "great", but they've never refused a fix for me, even if they have temporarily required some annoying discussion with tier 1. This is, by the way, coming from someone using an outlet laptop with the included 1-year warranty, so I'm definitely not a "premium" customer. They even sent a tech, which basically nuked their profits for my $200 Dell 5000 series.

Full disclosure, I did send back a decked-out Dell XPS 13 this past year and my wife decided to get a Macbook Pro instead partly due to the frustration I was having with their support (they sent an ugly cheapo generic replacement ac adapter when my fancy slimline adapter failed). I let the guy handling my Dell 5000 support case know that he just cost Dell a $2000 sale over a $30 adapter. They did send me the correct adapter after about an hour of phone time, so even over that I can say they have always eventually made good. So definitely hit or miss with tier 1 support.

Today on Dell Outlet I picked up a 13r3 7700HQ/GTX1060/16GB RAM/256GB SSD/OLED QHD for $1350 before tax and warranty. Hard to not go with the outlet when you can pick up that kind of deal.

But yours is a TN panel, not sure about the quality of it.

13 inch is too small for any decent gaming...

Please do not buy Alienware products.
I sent mine in to have my screen repaired under warranty, and it came back with the chassis separated from the keyboard panel, a nick where the tech pryed it open, the wireless card wires were smashed from not tucking them on , also scratches and skin oil on the hand rest, yuck. After a week trying to get them to figure out what to do,, Theyd me a box that is completely destroyed and smashed up. I eventually sent it through ups. It's been a month since I first sent it in, and have not received it back. Please save yourself from a headache.
