Not a huge discount from $70 but if you want a modern single slot low profile card right now here you go... Newegg via eBay.

https://m.ebay.com/itm/382231316199

It's about as fast as a GTX 750 and much better than the GT 730. Certainly good enough for CS:GO, Dota2, WoW, etc.

Sure it is. If you get it now and start mining immediately and with the rising difficulty you'll have one Bitcoin in about .... never....

Seriously though: this might be ok if you get into mining and want to mine extremely cheap coins like Verge (will go up a lot by the end of the year and even more mid next year.
Otherwise the least you should have is a 1060 which is what I have as a semi-beginner.

I have a 1030 paired with an i5-2500 and 8GB (Off lease Dell Optiplex) and it does damn well playing games at 720p/1080p. PUBG runs @50fps 720p.

It also is excellent for video playback. It is HDMI 2.0 so no problems playing 4k videos on my Sony 4KTV

This little card is amazing to say the least.

Why didn't you get that one? Not a good enough or missed it?

This one has a lower passmark score than the $40 amd card, about 2/3 the graphics, but consumes far less power 30 watt tdp vs 100 watt tdp.

no. no GPU is good for mining bitcoin. the right question is, is it good enough to mine ethereum or another altcoin? the answer is still no. I'd say at least a 1050 ti 4gb

Nothing is good for btc. Btc needs to drop so the banks will stop manipulating that market.

They pay people so little to mine just to creat the market bubble. I bet most people that got no full time job or a decent pay.

Pretty sure Etherium requires 3GB of RAM to even function right? I think I tried on a 2GB card and it crapped out and wouldn't even start.

Do you have any frame drops? I had a 680 with 2gb. Granted, it's several years old... But would be 30-40fps, and randomly drop to 1-4fps at times - like when looting, or when approaching the ground within a few seconds

If there are any frame drops, it isn't detrimental to the gameplay.

The 1030 is definitely doing its job, but keep in mind that the i5-2500 is still a pretty good quad-core and that the CPU does matter more in this game than most.

I need nvidia card for the purpose. Not so much for gaming. Just need a cooler low watt.
