I've bought several refurbished bodies & lenses from Canon, all arrived looking brand new. Never had a problem with any of them.

Same here. Canon refurb are the best.

Unless there are major flaws with it, which there aren't in a canon refurb, you're not going to care in a month after buying/using it.

How is this deal compared to a mail-in-rebate deal? Meaning price wise.

Asking cuz usually canon rebates are fast and quick

I have the T6i refurb with both lenses. Great buy...Camera is fantastic. Only issue...I was sent a bad refurb battery, which Canon sent a brand new one out quick fast!

I think the rebate deal was better, the t6i with 18-55mm + printer + Rodeo MIC + bag + 32gb SD, was 929 - 350 rebate = 579 without tax in CA

The t6i combo I see 899? The others seems to be at the price.

I currently have a T3i. Any reason to upgrade to T6i and sell the T3i?

Would the cheapest refurb suffice for someone who wants to get into this hobby? Or are there better deals to be had if I keep watching SD? I'm vacationing out of country for the first time and would need one by Nov. TIA

You'd be better off with an advanced point and shoot for a vacation trip, there's a learning curve (albiet a small one) with DSLR, and while your shots will look ok with everything set to Auto, it'd be a waste of your money.

That said, if you want to get into the hobby, you could do a lot worse than this deal.
