Picked this up today. Have read the extra roll brush helps a lot on hard surfaces and that's 90% of my use so here's hoping.

Yep, the sale was through 9/24 (at least that's what the online product page showed). They still had a big display of them yesterday in the store when I picked one up. They're likely back up to $249.99 there as well but you could check.

Just my luck. It's still $50 cheaper than Amazon and would have a Costco warranty...not sure if it will come back once they sell them all, seems like Costco does this a lot.

The Costco version also comes with a couple extra accessories: Flexible Crevice Tool, Precision Duster Tool.

Just used this about 15 minutes ago. Bought it several weeks ago after my daughter told me it was a great price. I am a man, and I am really impressed with this. We have 2 dogs and this vacuum cleans hair and anything else in it's way. Works great on hard woods and carpets.
Great suction, and very easy to use. It was a steal at the 199 price and probably still a deal at the 249 price. What also sold me on it was the Costco manager telling me that I can return it for whatever reason I want, and that if it stops working in 5 years or 10 years just bring it in and they will take care of me.

I'm really tempted to go for it, does Costco do anything if it goes on sale within 90 days or am I SOL?

I will second this. Been using this the past week or so. We have hardwood/tile all downstairs; but high pile shag area rugs. Older Shark vacuum's motor would almost burn out vacuuming the shag rugs getting "stuck" on brush roll for too long. This one goes from wood to these super long shag rugs and back to wood without a hiccup. Plus you can actually clean hard surfaces without the main brush being on. My older Shark rotator, if you turned the brush off when doing tile/wood; it would miss a lot of fine particles. This made me be default leave the brush on constantly. This one though with the secondary brush especially for hard surfaces works wonders. Plus the fact it converts nearly into a wand/canister vac and can go under coffee tables and chairs etc is excellent.
