We all expected this to have a higher display or more storage from the 2 version. This has a fingerprint reader and 8 core processor instead. The resolution difference may be noticable to some. Unless you have 1080p movies on your sd card your not seeing the difference watching youtube and other services. They see your on a mobile device and give you the mobile version. 720p will net you some extra battery life over 1080p.

Anyway its a budget phone so this os to be expected. Maybe not at the msrp price but its forgivable sub 100.

If you want a similar phone but with full HD 1920x1080, MetroPC has the LG Stylo 3 Plus for only 49 bucks in store. I was able to pick one up at my local store for $82. That price included the phone plus one month of service, the $30 plan which is unlimited talk text and 2 GB data. The you can either wait the 90 days to use the Device Unlock App already on the phone, or pay between 20 to 30 bucks to have it unlocked sooner. There are several threads on here if you search, that talk about unlocking these MetroPCS phones.

Product link below, with small ad in middle of page showing $49 price...

VM is only marketing iPhones now. VM still supports Android phones through sometime into 2018. Then they will switch users to Boost Mobile.

You can still buy Android phones through VM if you have an account, e.g., the Stylo 2 is 79.99.
I was tempted to try it, hearing good things about it, but 5.7" is too big for me to use as my daily carry around phone.

Have a stylo 2, doesn't really look like a worthwhile upgrade.

I was unaware they were phasing out Android phones, that sucks. I've been a customer for probably over 12 years.

Only iPhones are eligible for 1 dollar annual plan. Who needs it activated to Virgin Mobile?
