How did you get to $110?
I see $199 minus $20 coupon, then $18.5 tax plus $2 shipping.
Am I missing something?

Self evaporating? Or will need to drain out water?

I have a single-hose 8000 BTU Haier, though not this same one. It never cooled worth a damn.

I would think a 8000 btu portable isn't nearly the same as an 8000 btu window unit. You'll lose a lot of efficiency. Probably more in line with a 5000 btu window unit.

my $100 craigslist ac is starting to bite the dust after three years. Can't put a price on staying cool when it's over 90 in the NW. Refirb might last longer and hopefully lighter than current one. I can't imagine what this costs to ship. Don't like rebate so might sit this one out.

Thanks PM. Repped.

I have had good luck with mobile LG ACs. Not sure if this is in part with them or even if slightly inferior, still should be a good find. And Yes, that evaporating feature is a must with this type of ACs or your floor is flooded by the next day morning.
