I'm not sure if this is a good price. i7-8700K should be coming out in a couple of weeks Oct. 4th. So it might lower the price a little bit.

Weird people not liking this more. Microcenter has it for 279 but only in store and subject to sales tax. Newegg has no sales tax outside "California, Indiana, New Jersey and Tennessee " and is shoprunner elig.

BF is right around the corner... I'm tempted

If it's anything like last years black friday, prebuilts are cheaper by a few bucks compared to building it yourself.

I was sad when I could have bought a pre-built for the same price as mine except they had a 1080 instead of the 1070 lol so their prebuilt was better.

...but you have exactly what you want. Most prebuilts have components that you may not have preferred.

I'll be getting 8700k in a couple weeks, and selling my 1 month old 7700k for $200.

I advise anyone wanting to upgrade to wait till then for either chip

Just curious what motherboard you plan on getting? I am interested in jumping from 6700k to 8700k but haven't seen what the asus/gigabyte etc products will be yet.

Also i think i will have to get some ddr4.
