Is this locked to t-mobile? This comes with a free projector as well? Seems like good deal but battery life must be terrible with such a small battery along with the screen scratching easy since it's plastic.

I own one and picked it up when it still was on the BOGO sale. For battery life, on paper it's small, but in real world testing between me and my gf neither of us have had an issue with it. Both have been able to go full days worth with constant on screen time and not had to worry about a charge until 11pm or midnight. As long as you're not running any apps with huge background tasks it should be more than fine for the average user. As for the screen, yes, it does scratch but applying a tempered glass screen protector is nothing and the screen still looks great with one on. The biggest selling points obviously are the Moto Mods and that it's Daydream VR compatible.

Why did this get thumbs down'd? I am thumbsing it up as it is still $220 off regular price compared to the motorola store and the previous price that everyone was selling it for ($720).

Plus, this comes with the projector also (but you have to buy before 9/30/2017).

Although this phone is locked, it looks like the AT&T and T-Mobile versions share the same bands (according to specs page: https://www.motorola.com/us/produ...odJQkN3w):

US AT&T + T-Mobile:
GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
UMTS/HSPA+ (B1, 2, 4, 5, 8)
4G LTE (B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17, 20, 25, 26, 28, 29, 30, 38, 40, 41-Japan & China, 66, 252, 255)

I'm wondering if all of the phones are the same, but just with a carrier lock.

Seems like a good deal. I ordered. The projector mod seems to be going for around 200.00 so makes the phone much more reasonably priced.

T-Mobile network is unusable in my area. In addition, I won't buy a $500 phone locked to a specific carrier.

They will unlock immediately if you buy it at full price, T-Mobile has an unlock app, By using it will not take more than a minute to unlock if you fully paid for the device.

Man, if you go through the legwork of flipping the projector, that's a SD835 phone for ~$300 (plus selling fees on eBay or wherever.) No close competition on that price
