(Update) Anova Nano Precision Cooker Pre-Order Shipment Deadline Moved Back to May

If you pre-ordered the Anova Nano Precision Cooker from one of the previous slickdeal announcements such as the original kick starter backers then you should read the blog below if you haven't seen the update in your email used to place the order.

"When we launched pre-orders in June, we expected to begin shipping the Precision Cooker Nano in October. We did this for two reasons: first, we know that many of you are ahead of the curve and love being the first to purchase a new product. Second, we wanted to give our customers the opportunity to get first dibs on our next device at a substantial discount to show our appreciation. With the Precision Cooker Nano, we wanted to deliver a quality device with lab-grade precision at an affordable price point, and we aren't willing to sacrifice on the experience just to deliver the product. However, we underestimated lead times for critical components and early units did not meet our quality expectations. We're now estimating that pre-orders will ship in May, and we're going to do everything in our power to hit this timeline."

Pre-Order Customers are able to select one of three options:
A: Wait until May to receive their Anova Nano Precision Cooker
B: Receive a replacement unit Anova Bluetooth Precision Cooker (First Come First Serve)
C: Receive a full refund of your money.

Well, screw ups happen, I'm happy with how they are handling this. I think I'll go ahead and get the blue tooth model ... great deal to get it for the $70 paid to preorder !!!

I've used it a few times since receiving it last week.
My one complaint is the range of BT, but thats a given.

Pretty neat! Try poached eggs! Great Saturday breakfast
