Quadrivalent vaccine is $20 cash or free with most insurances and covers 2017-18 strains:

A/Michigan/45/2015 (H1N1)pdm09-like virus;
A/Hong Kong/4801/2014 (H3N2)-like virus;
B/Brisbane/60/2008-like virus;
B/Phuket/3073/2013-like virus.

This is the cheapest I have seen for a QIV and takes about 5 min.
Depending on the location, you may not need a membership. Please call your local Costco to find out.

PS This is NOT a political or a scientific thread. If you do not like the deal for whatever reason, do not troll and just move on.

Does this work if you already have the flu? I'm not asking if it cures it, but will your body still gain immunity to those 4 strains

Yes, but if you are currently ill you should not get it and wait until you are well.

I paid $10 with no insurance. Do tell me how double the price is a deal, though.
For QIV? Where?

Not all Flu Shots are 4-Strain

And you can also get it free from your local health dept

But for me the costco deal is good

Not all HD are free- ours has a $10-15 fee. But still usually better pricing. And should be administered by actual nurse with tons of shot giving experience.

I've heard of improper technique from pharmacies/drug stores resulting in unknowingly receiving a vaccination that is ineffective.
Tell that to the nurse who gave me a Child dose of Hep B instead of the adult version. Thank God I caught that on the paperwork. And that was at Health Department. I trust a Pharmacist because they are used to pulling the correct drug and they are certified in giving the shot. Sucked because I had to get another dose of Hep B.
Word to the wise - always ask nurse to double verify shot before they give it to you. You can verify too by making sure vial matches paperwork.

Costco will always be cheaper on shots (and they take insurance) unless you are located in an area where they have HD that subsidizes the shots. The quad will be always be more expensive and worth the extra money.

IMO flu vaccines are no bueno. I know I'll get hated on, but those vaccines are some bad, bad stuff.

I guess it's wrong to wish someone to get polio, Hep B induced HCC, HPV-induced cervical and neck cancer. I wonder how selfish bastards can live with themselves potentially placing cancer patients (immunocompromised), infants (too young to vaccinate), pregnant women, and the elderly (waning immune system)at risk.

Contempt is a better word.

He just said he doesn't think they're good. You didn't have to go there. Come on, man.
