I'm no fanboy of anyone. Considering the recent price of 1080 is about $480, the Vega 56 has no advantage at this price, unless you are a miner. With 30% less money, 1070 is also a good choice for 1440p as it's only 15% less powerful. This year mining makes it strange that Nv is more cost-effective than AMD for games.

If this card was $399 like it suppose tobe then I would buy it....but sadly the better deal at this price point is the 1080.

Dude, its simple economics.... the 1080 cost less and performs better....

LMAO no contest. and Nvidia has Gsync, which is better than freesync. If you dont believe me look it up.

1080ti and a Dell 165hz 1440p monitor. Smooth as silk, even in PUBg.

Gsync is better but not $200+ better. I just picked up the Niexus Edg 27 for $356.99 after CPP15OFF coupon. It's an 27" IPS monitor with a 30 - 144hz Freesync range. The cheapest 27" IPS Gsync monitor I've seen is from AOC and was on sale for $550.

I bought mine new on ebay for $350 with 10% ebay bucks so it depends on what deal you find.

For that price, it was well worth it. I agree that G-sync monitors do carry a bit of a premium so its best to find a deal.

Why would I buy a $470 Vega 56 when I can get a 1080 for the same price?
