I actually canceled my LTE orders w Apple and just got these.
For me, I decided I didn't want to pay for $10 monthly fee for Verizon to use the LTE feature on the watch. I was also thinking how I always take my phone with me wherever I go so it won't be worth it for me.
If Kohl's delivery date is accurate then I'll be getting my watch weeks before Apple promised.

i'm thinking of picking up the lte version just in case I ever decide to get the lte conneection when it's less than $5 a month or tmobile has some sort of promo.

i agree that there's not many use cases for the lte watch for me personally. it's just nice to have just in case.

I do agree that it may be useful down the road if needed. Plus it has more resale value than the regular version.

It's totally upto you if you want to use the cellular or not. I will be trying the cellular if it works for me well and good otherwise I will stop using it and use the watch as gps.

Good point. I understand this is true bc I don't believe the activation of the watch will be contracts but an "on and off" option.

Thought the same thing with the 30% but the watch states that it's ineligible for promos and coupons except the one it's offering for $70 Kohl cash.

Yes I just saw the macrumors hands on and they showed the screen where it said set up cellular or skip this right now.

Apple watch Series 3 w/LTE is having issues right now anyway. I'd be happy if the GPS could track my bicycle rides so that I don't have to mouth my phone on my handle bars.

The problem that I have with this deal is that you get into Kohls GC Russian roulette and that's never fun. The expiration dates for their rewards is some ridiculous low amount of time. Like 7 days to spend your rewards.

That sounds kinky. I like it.

Don't need it right now. Gonna wait for sale. We start seeing some iPhone deals, probably better deal in the next few weeks.

Is there any reason to upgrade to the series 3 if I have the series 2?

I upgraded this weekend.

I do see the performance improvement with the limited use thus far.

Everything else is a plus ( altimeter, Siri being able to speak back to you, etc)

My main reason was that while getting an S3 for the wifey, it gave me the opportunity to get my self a new watch with Apple Care + since my S2 didn't have it.

I turned around and sold the S2 and recouped some of the money back.
