iPhone can't work with a bluetooth ODBII, you need one with wifi.

I bought this exact model to monitor the battery on my Nissan Leaf as my car doesn't work with all of these adapters. This has worked perfectly as my previous adapter would not work with my car at all. I got it at a higher price than this and I would highly recommend it.

Best unit out there when paired with the $5 android Torque Pro [google.com] app. I own three. Just paid more a week ago for another. I will reset my check engine light 3 or more times a year. Nothing wrong with the vehicle. Done the same with girlfriend's suv. But can't reset her toyota "!" light after the battery died and needed to be replaced. Not the fault of the BAFX or app. Toyota probably requires dicking around with the ignition on and off game.

If you own a Ford, there is a free android app called FordSys Scan Free [google.com]. You can pull more codes. Get it.

Negative. Bluetooth LE adapters work fine.

Same question I bought one from ebay a few years back. It worked for the one time I needed it. After I fixed the issue I haven't had to use it again (knock on wood)

Dumb question: can you leave this plugged into the car all the time, or will it drain down the car's battery?

The car turns off power to the port so it's fine to leave in all the time.

Some of them don't have the ability to generate special obd2 messages for certain cars. Might not matter at all I have the $5 one in my Honda Civic and it works great with Torque. ,The other difference is shipping speed and presence of viruses on the included driver cd (never use the CD that comes with anything direct from China).
