Wish they would get the original tapes, clean them up and issue Blu Ray or digital HD. Loved watching this as a kid. Scary as hell. Also loved watching Wild, Wild World of Animals narrated by William Conrad. Both shows had great voices and freaky music. 70's video quality was the topping on the cake.

I'd almost buy this. But haven't ripped and converted a dvd in a decade. Don't know what's out there to do that work today.

Just get MakeMKV, rip, then use Handbrake or ffmpeg to encode to H.264/HEVC. I just converted all my Highlander DVDs and it only took a day. Granted, I had access to 4 drives, but its pretty painless these days.

It's easily the most well-done of the "real life" paranormal and mystery shows. I bought this set when it first came out years ago for $80 and don't regret it. The packaging is compact considering how many DVDs are included.

Y not just leave them in the mkv form? Especially if u want to preserve original quality. Handbrake is only useful for compressing them. U can also use dvd shrink (Free) for a lot of dvd (not blu ray) rips. It's fast and will allow u to trim the video at beginning and end (such as seemingly never ending credits). U can set it for compression (no thanks) or uncompressed rip 👍🏼

Watched them also as a kid. I have shown a few to my students- especially the one on wild /feral children. (part of a wider unit- De-Disneyf-ying the mythos of the 'wild child'.
