When I click on the link, it takes me to the Electronic Expo seller that has it for 799 but you get a $100 Newegg gift card, bringing the price down a 699 if you happen to have other things at Newegg you want to shop for, which in my case, I always do since I run a small IT biz. That said, does anyone know if Electronic Expo is a authorized reseller, so that it has a proper warranty and not a grey market product? They are from NJ, so my initial guess is no. My experience with some of the online sellers is that they have an alternative name for their local brick and mortar store(s) which happen to be authorized resellers. Any help would be great, thanks!

*** UPDATE, according to the denon website, they are authorized. In my mind, this is quite a deal if you have other shopping to do and you get the $100 Newegg gift card, so a $699 purchase and no tax for me.

The other deal is effectively $699, which is cheaper. Also, when people price-matched with ABT, they got it for $699 OTD, without requiring a gift card, which was also a better deal.

The link showed $765 but no gift card. The gift card one is a better deal if you have a use for it.

Where is the other deal at or are you referring to the $799 with $100 NewEgg gift card option? Has anyone seen this for $699 out the door?

You have to call or chat online for a price match with other dealers to get the low price without gift card.

Ditto. I purchased the x4300h recently for $699 (no tax + free shipping) by calling IQ Home Entertainment based on a tip in a previous thread. They wouldn't match the $674 from the ABT deal, but $699 worked for me. I pay tax at newegg and don't buy enough gear to make the GC worthwhile.

I suspect the x4400 will be $799 at Fry's in a few months, but I didn't want to wait (old AVR broke) and they would charge tax making it more like $860. I don't think the x4400 is worth $160 more than the x4300.

Hmmm I emailed them and they said the best they could do is $799. for the x4300h. Wonder if calling them would be better?
Any ideas when the 4300 will start going down in price? Thinking I may just buy it with Discover and do price protection later.

It's hard to say how the non-advertised prices work. It may be related to stock, e.g. they had a bunch and wanted to clear them out but now there are only a few left so there's less pressure. Or it could be luck related to who picks up the phone or which manager is working at the time. Good luck finding a deal. The x4300 is currently $699 at a4l [accessories4less.com] so that's an option too.

Thanks for the tip. I can wait it out longer not in rush. May just buy a new one from crutch field and keep an eye to see if it goes lower for credit card price match.
