Yamaha YSP-1600BL Soundbar with Built-in Dual Subwoofers $200 + FS @ Costco $199.99

Costco offers the Yamaha YSP-1600BL [costco.com] soundbar with built-in subwoofer for $200 with free shipping.

This is the lowest price I have ever seen for this soundbar new. Originally listed for $500 MSRP, I rarely found it for less than $400.

One of the best options out there for someone who does not want a separate subwoofer or speakers, but also wants simulated surround sound from a single soundbar. You can read around on AVSForum and without a true surround setup, the Yamaha's are one of the best for the price of simulating surround from one unit.

Perfect for bedrooms and smaller rooms - in larger rooms the bass will be a bit weaker, but to be expected from a soundbar without a sub. You'll see that commentary in the reviews.

80W per spec sheet? Isn't it too little for a 5.1 system

How would this fare if kept in a cabinet, or in my case, zip tied underneath a table? In particular I'm concerned about the subwoofers going nuts.

Must be better, just with smaller drivers if more of them (edit- nm missed that it does have bigger "subwoofers"), & especially less power is why i don't understand how it can be.

I listened to them yesterday, even the 1070 sounds pretty good. I imagine this one sounds even better.

Surprisingly the bose soundbar sounded best of all to me... might have been a trick with their demo material.

This does not give any real surround feeling but this soundbar actually does sound very good. Just don't expect to be mind blown

I would really wait for a deal on the lg sj9. They
Come from time to time under $400.
