The G710+ came out first, it was MX Brown switches with O rings. The G710 came out after and is blue (I believe without O rings). O rings completely change the feel of the board so I ended up removing them off my G710+ and then eventually bought a G710 because I prefer click and bump of blue switches over browns.

Basically you're choosing between brown (with orange accents on the keyboard) or blue switches (with blue accents) that's it.

Thanks.

So much for the idea of buying a spare and taking to work.

These are MX Blue, you might have MX Brown so remove a keycap to be sure. MX Blue is more clicky (louder) fyi.

This guy explains it exactly, nice job. I have both the G710 and G710+ too and slightly prefer the G710 (feel and blue accent color) .

All keys clack if you bottom out, but blues clack even if you don't bottom out. That's the point of blues. hug

I have this blue version and over a year of owning i have no issues at all. Also, having dedicated media contol with volume rocker is a huge bonus for me

This uses 2 USB ports. I believe the second port is to power the additional USB port provided on the keyboard.
