I've had this drive running in a PS4 for a few months -- no problems and I'm happy with it.
I'll agree that it's NOT a 7200 RPM drive and it's NOT an SSD. People on these discussions usually complain about those things, and yes, those points are valid. (but are you really going to price a 2TB pure SSD?)

I find it very suitable for its intended purpose and affordable. If you can find a 7200RPM non-"hybrid" drive for a similar price, you may want to go for that instead. This is about the best price I've seen for it. It has been in the $80-90 range for a couple of months (with promos or deals).

I know you've been happy with it... But how does it perform in a PS4? I'm thinking of upgrading my Son's PS4 from a 2TB 5400 that I upgraded a while back, will there be much difference?

I'm wondering the same thing. I removed the sata 3.0 my pro came with and put that on my PS3. I put my old 2tb drive from my old PS4 on the pro and it has slowed down

Running well on my ps4 pro. First time loading horizon dawn takes about 1 min and finally takes about 28 seconds after 8 or 9 times.

Sorry I don't have benchmark comparison data (and with a "hybrid" SSHD remember that performance varies based on what the drive has put into it's flash cache or not.

If you already have a 2TB drive I'd say not worth changing -- this is basically the same thing with an admittedly-small flash NVM storage area. In the future I hope they come out with a drive with more flash storage (say, 64GB) so it could contain a more normal daily usage on a PS4.

The main reason to get this is if you have a 500GB or 1TB PS4 and want to upgrade (also works in an PS3 -- I have a smaller version of this in a PS3).
