The MegaMax doesn't show up on Little Giant's website. I assume this is a Costco-exclusive model?

According to Little Giants website, the Alta One is only 250lb capacity.

Looks like it as Little Giant does has a video [youtube.com]on this ladder. It mentions:
Quote :
You can get the MegaMax from your local Costco or from Costco.com.
According to the description with the video:
Quote :
The MegaMax™ combines the strength, safety and versatility of the classic Little Giant Ladder with several new groundbreaking features, including accessory portals and the AirDeck™ tool tray and safety handrail. The safety handrail gives you an added sense of security on the ladder; it can even prevent that shaky, uncertain feeling of vertigo many feel when working at the top of a stepladder. Each side of the MegaMax telescopes independently, giving you the option of several sizes of stepladders, from 4 to 7 feet. You can also adjust one side to work on staircases and uneven surfaces, or as a 90-degree stepladder. The Triple-Lock™ hinge allows you to use the ladder as a stable, wide-based, multi-height extension ladder. Finally, the inner and outer ladder assemblies separate to form two trestles for a time-saving scaffolding system. The Little Giant MegaMax is the next generation of multi-use ladder systems.

Is this worth getting over the Harbor Freight knockoff?

depends on your usage. I have a werner 22ft ladder (taller than the 17) and it is heavy but I use it daily. If I were to rebuy, I would definitely take this brand as it is MUCH lighter and still holds up over time

Great ladder. Saw this in the upcoming ad and bought it on the 21st after they confirmed they will price match the difference come the 28th. Already got a lot of use out of it over the weekend.

Good looking deal. Much nicer than the sears one. It's 2' shorter, but weighs 3lb less and is rated at 300 vs. 250.

Plus Costco usually demands the top shelf when they get a exclusive item from a decent company. This looks comparable to revolution line. Might have to take the sears one back if they give free shipping and I got that one for $100

So, according to Costco's website, the max height for this ladder (not using it as an extension ladder) is only 7ft? Frown
I have a Cosco (brand) ladder that is 8ft and would like to replace as it is very heavy.

Interested in this one. Will it fit in the trunk of a typical full-size Sedan? Don't have a pickup and seems no free shipping is offered.

While folded up this will easily fit into a car's trunk, provided it's not also stuffed with the huge packages of toilet paper or pallets of bottled water I often leave Costco with
