"it is produced in XIAOMI China factory"

I would be pretty disappointed in Wiha if they are allowing their good name to be used to market cheap Chinese tools being sold by a company with the poor track record of Banggood.

Poor track record according to... who?
Trustpilot? Resellerratings? An angry SD mob?
Banggood sells Lenovo too, among other brands. And Xiaomi is sold everywhere dude.

I remain skeptical. Wiha's global website's search function returns zero results for Mijia or Xiaomi. And 9 pages into a Google search, the only mention I see of a Wiha-Xiaomi partnership was the Xiaomi-hosted article that you linked above. All other links are from Chinese sites like FastTech selling this Mijia driver set.

You could be right and Wiha has licensed their name to Xiaomi. I'd just think that there would be more public info about the partnership.

Here's the link on Xiaomi's Mainland China website. If you are skeptical just translate the page. It's a Wiha authorized product but I don't think Wiha will allow Xiaomi sell it outside the Greater China. But many S2 alloy screwdriver sets on amazon come with more pieces and they are about 8 bucks cheaper. Plus you get two days shipping from amazon.

It's not just the tool itself. The industrial design of the case and driver handle is quite beautiful, as if the designer had carte blanche to do as he or she pleased. It is more than the tool itself. Just like some of the earlier "new design" Electrolux vacuums; the design is as important as the tool. Wiha has many mini bits manufactured in Vietnam, so I doubt if Asian market access to them or their tooling is so mysterious. Yes, I own one of theses sets and it is a joy to use. Practically speaking, bits are durable, but are held in the handle (and case) by magnets (bummer) and the handle cap is a liitle small to palm comfortably. But...oh so beautiful.

Chinese-made imitator with the once-respectable Wiha name stamped on them. 60 HRC? LOL

Doesn't matter if they're "authorized" or not - not made in Germany means they're no better than any other Chinese tool.

As someone who actually owns this set, I can tell you this is rather excellent "garbage" for the money. I would buy it again if I lost my set. It is a wonder you were able to type and transmit your post without extensive use of Chinese "garbage". The Germans are great at producing high quality at a high price. Is that really such a challenge?
