Vizio E65-E1 Ultra HD HDR 65" Class $599

Was perusing Microcenter today for a TV and came across a pretty good deal on the E65-E1. Basically going to be the best picture quality you can get at this price point. 65", 4k, HDR, and local dimming all for $600. TV is $700+ everywhere else I can find.

Ordered one, we will see if they try to give me a refurb.

not a bad price if you can replicate it in store near you, alas that's not the case in my area.

It's a basic TV with Chromcast.

The VIZIO SmartCast technology allows customers the ability to cast multiple apps such as Netflix and YouTube from your mobile device

Got all excited and pissed off at the same time because of the price and then the inability to buy online respectively. But then I saw it was an E series and not a P series and am now ok with missing out.

Why wouldn't they give you a refurbished one? It says refurbished right in the product name on the product page.

It was changed on the microcenter web site. For the first hour it didn't say Refurbished.

I bought this as an open box from Best Buy for about $550 a few months ago. Nice set and they have upgraded firmware that adds apps to the TV itself but it still works great with Smartcast/Chromecast built in. They will even send you a new remote for free!

Biggest negative is off axis viewing is not good at all, very washed out. But certainly a lot of bang for the buck at these prices.

Was anyone able to get a new one at this price? I reserved one and my confirmation says "new" under condition. Wondering if it's worth the drive.

I'm going to pick it up after work and my reservation says "new" under status. We'll see. I thought it was new at this price, not refurb. I won't take it if it's a refurb.

They definitely tried to give me a refurb. Bad deal at that price.

Talked them into a new one at $650, which is still a pretty decent deal.
